Dr. Esther Hui

Dr. Esther Hui is a National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR)-funded postdoctoral fellow and a Chartered Psychologist at UCL. She is dedicated to developing new treatments for dementia and exploring ways to prevent the condition.
She is currently addressing equity and access to dementia prevention, in the Division of Psychiatry, UCL. She co-leads the Advanced Treatment and Management of Dementia masters module at UCL and advises companies on developing digital interventions as a consultant.
After double-majoring in psychology and biology during her undergraduate degree and working in the U.S. and Hong Kong healthcare industries, she developed a research interest in dementia.
She developed and evaluated a virtual and individual version of Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) in a randomized controlled trial for people with dementia in Hong Kong and the UK during her PhD at the Division of Psychology and Language Sciences, UCL.
